Brussels Airlines upgrades with the Thompson Vantage seat

March 1, 2012

The Thompson Aero Seating Vantage seat has been selected for the Brussels Airlines business class cabin. Their A330s will feature 30 seats in a staggered configuration, 24 of which have direct aisle access and 10 have no adjacent seats. The seats will be available on the new daily scheduled service to New York JFK from June 2012 and by year end all routes on the African network will provide this offering.

The cabin upgrade is an important step and financial undertaking for Brussels Airlines. Co-chief executive Bernard Gustin says: “Customers boarding a Brussels Airlines long-haul aircraft will have the feeling they are entering a brand new aircraft. If we compare this level of comfort to the product of other airlines on transatlantic flights or routes to and from Africa, we can conclude that we will become a real precursor and trendsetter of quality in terms of seats, relax possibilities, leg room and entertainment technology.”
